The Axis Academic Alliance & Advancement (AAA) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to redefining the future of Pakistani research. As an affiliate of our core corporate platform, AAA exists to bridge the critical gap between local wisdom and global academic recognition. We believe that the most powerful knowledge emerges from lived experience, and our mission is to unlock the potential within our communities.
As a legally separate entity, AAA is governed by a constitution that ensures transparency and independent oversight, guaranteeing that every resource is used solely to advance our charitable mission of education and empowerment.

We prepare, refine, and endorse work to help it meet international standards, ensuring powerful local stories gain the global audience they deserve.
AAA Editorial Policy
1. Aims and Scope AAA focuses exclusively on community-based, experiential research originating from Pakistan, providing a platform for localized knowledge to reach a global audience.
2. Publication Ethics We are strictly committed to research integrity, the prohibition of plagiarism, and the protection of confidentiality. All submissions must include a clear statement on the ethical treatment of human subjects, ensuring informed consent and strict anonymity.
3. Authorship and Contributorship Authorship is granted exclusively to those who have contributed significantly to the research. A “Contributor Roles” statement is required for all submissions, clearly detailing who was responsible for data collection, analysis, and writing.
4. Peer Review Process All submitted research undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on their specific academic expertise and a strict absence of conflicts of interest. Authors are provided with an expected timeframe for an initial editorial decision upon submission.
5. Financial Transparency & Fee Policy
Article Processing Charge (APC): Standard and subsidized APC amounts apply based on eligibility for the AAA voucher.
Use of Funds: The APC is used exclusively to cover the costs of scholarly publishing, including digital hosting, editorial management software, and administrative processing.
Reviewer Honoraria: In recognition of their skilled contribution, external peer reviewers receive a nominal honorarium of 500-1000 PKR per completed review. This is paid from the APC revenue pool as approved in the annual budget.
Governance: All financial allocations are governed by AAA’s annual budget, approved by the independent Executive Board, and subject to an annual external audit.
6. Open Access and Copyright All partner journals are fully Open Access. Authors retain the copyright to their work under a Creative Commons licensing framework.
7. Complaints and Appeals We maintain a clear, accessible procedure for authors wishing to appeal an editorial decision or raise a concern regarding the publication process.
8. Archiving & Preservation The Axis Academics journals that publish AAA-endorsed research participate in the PKP Preservation Network. This guarantees the continuous long-term digital preservation and availability of all published articles.
Community Research Publication Voucher
To further our mission of supporting local researchers, AAA offers a specialized publishing voucher for qualifying community-led projects.
Voucher Benefits
Priority Processing: Priority submission and expedited editorial review in an Axis Academics journal for any AAA-endorsed manuscript.
Fee Subsidy: Up to a 90% subsidy on the standard publishing fee upon article acceptance.
Terms of Use
AAA’s Role: AAA identifies, trains, and pre-screens the research to ensure it meets baseline quality and ethical standards prior to journal submission.
Journal’s Role: The receiving journal provides expedited editorial handling and applies the subsidized Article Processing Charge (APC) of 3,000 PKR (discounted from the standard rate of 30,000 PKR).
Author’s Responsibility: If the manuscript is accepted for publication, the subsidized APC of 3,000 PKR is payable directly to the publishing journal.
