The Axis Excellence & Research Awards honor researchers, clinical practitioners, and peer reviewers whose work significantly advances patient recovery, sustainable sciences, multidisciplinary technology, and community health.

Annual Award Categories
1. The Axis Health & Rehabilitation Excellence Award
Field Focus: Physical Therapy, Clinical Rehabilitation, and Allied Health Sciences
Award Description:
Presented to researchers and clinical practitioners whose empirical work introduces innovative therapeutic models, advances functional restoration, or improves patient-centered recovery outcomes in rehabilitation sciences.
Key Criteria:
Demonstrated clinical applicability and patient outcome improvement
Rigorous biostatistical design and ethical compliance
Direct relevance to physical therapy, neuro-rehabilitation, or public health recovery
2. The Agricultural Sustainability & Innovation Award
Field Focus: Agronomy, Soil Health, Crop Science, and Biological Sciences
Award Description:
Honors scientists and agricultural researchers who develop scalable, ecologically responsible solutions to address global food security, climate resilience, and natural resource conservation.
Key Criteria:
Originality in sustainable farming methods or crop protection

3. The Scientific Innovation & Technology Medal

Award Description:

Peer Reviewer & Editorial Merit Honors
01. Distinguished Peer Reviewer Award
Peer review is the cornerstone of scientific integrity. This award recognizes peer reviewers across our four journals who consistently deliver thorough, constructive, and timely evaluations that help authors elevate the quality of their research.
02. Young Investigator & Trainee Grant
Designed to support early-career medical researchers, FCPS trainees, and postgraduate scholars. This honor celebrates outstanding thesis-driven research and provides full APC waivers along with complimentary statistical advisory support for future manuscripts.
Evaluation Methodology & Submission Criteria
Guidelines & Process:
Nomination Methods: Papers published in any of the four Axis OJS journals are automatically entered into annual award considerations. External authors and faculty members may also be nominated by institutional department heads.
Evaluation Panel: Nominations are vetted by an independent Scientific Review Board comprising senior academic editors, medical biostatisticians, and subject-matter experts.
Selection Transparency: Evaluation is based on strict objective metrics: methodological rigor, statistical accuracy, ethical adherence (ICMJE/COPE compliance), and long-term citation/societal impact.
